Maceo A. Brown Awarded the Herndon Lifetime Achievement Award

Each year Alonzo F. Herndon Lifetime Achievement award is presented to a worthy Metro Atlanta Business leader that has risen to a significant level of entrepreneurial achievement and displays an enduring commitment to exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit. Maceo A. Brown, President of System 5 Electronics, Inc. and Founder of MACEO’S (Mentoring. Aspiring. CEO’s) Kids, is the 2018 recipient of this award in recognition of over 28 years serving the Atlanta community as the largest African American owned and operated security and alarm monitoring company in the state of Georgia. In 2007, Mr. Brown also founded MACEO’s (Mentoring Aspiring CEO’s) Kids, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that was created to empower and strengthen high school age students by reinforcing the fundamentals of academics through mentorship and advocacy. The 2017 Alonzo F. Herndon Lifetime Achievement awardee was Milton J. Little of the United Way.
